Description of Euophrys frontalis

Physical Characteristics

Female 3 to 5 mm.
Abdomen yellow-brown with multiple rows of irregular dark spots.
Carapace orange-brown with black-brown area around and between the eyes and thin black-brown stripe along the edge.
Legs yellow-brown to orange-brown with dark claws.
Palps yellow-brown to orange-brown.

Male 2.5 to 4 mm.
Abdomen brown with rows of irregular dark spots.
Carapace dark brown with scattered yellow-orange hairs. Frontal eyerow with orange to red rings.
Legs brown. Pair of legs I black with white tarsi.
Palps brown with contrasting white stripes at the top.

Habitat

Various dry and moist areas, both on the ground and in plants and trees.

Distribution

Quite common in the whole of Europe .

Period

All year. Male not in winter.
