Description of Tetragnatha extensa (Common stretch-spider)
Physical Characteristics

Female 5 to 12 mm.
Abdomen white to greenish with a pearly shine and a not always clear, elongated dark leave-shaped figure and some fine black lines.
Carapace yellow-brown to brown.
Sternum dark brown to black-brown with a clear yellow triangle.
Legs and palps yellow-brown.
Male 5 to 9 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.
Habitat
In plants in moist areas near water.
Distribution
Occurs in the whole of Europe.
Period
Spring and summer.
